Websites and applications of Benefit Systems d.o.o., Ulica Vjekoslava Heinzela 44, HR-10000 Zagreb, OIB: 57845277445, as the Controller of processing, (‘BS’ or ‘we’) use cookies and other similar technologies, such as pixels, plugins, tags, or web beacons. We will refer to these technologies collectively as “cookies”.

Below you can find information about cookies, as well as additional information on how our websites and applications work, including information about Local Storage, push messages and your location.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that your browser stores on your computer or mobile device (also known as terminal equipment) when you visit a certain website. With the help of cookies, the website can remember your actions and preferred settings (such as login information, language, font size, and other preferred settings) for a longer period of time, so it is not necessary to re-enter them each time you return to the website or when navigating its different pages.

A similar mechanism of storing information on user devices is local storage and session storage in modern browsers. Local and session storage are essentially pieces of memory in web browsers that remember keys and values, and which are kept separately for each webpage (domain). Local storage persists until deleted (e.g. manually or by a script), while session storage is deleted when closing the associated browser tab.

How can cookies be used?

In general, there are three different ways to classify cookies: how long they persist, their provenance, and what purpose they serve.
